The RUX Cooler Cube can live on its own as a perfect après companion, or serves as a food or drinks organizer in the Cooler Bag. The Cooler Bag integrates into the rest of the RUX System, fitting neatly in the RUX 70L, or attaching via RUX Buckles to the 70L external Utility Rails.

There are many variables that will affect ice retention, so this is a difficult question for us to answer. Variables that can affect ice retention include the type of ice or amount used, use of a freezer pack, exposure to direct sunlight, etc.

Because of the large number of variables, as well as the lack of an industry standard for measuring ice retention, claims that place a definite time (5, 10, 14 days) are often based on testing conditions and not real-life situations.

We can say that we’ve tested both the Cooler Cube and the Cooler Bag out in a variety of conditions, with an assortment of different ice/freezing methods, and have been very happy with the results both on short day trips, and overnight excursions.

You can fit four cooler cubes inside the cooler bag and you can then fit the cooler bag into the RUX 70L along with your gear in the other half of the 70L, turning your adventure into a party!

Yes, the Cooler Bags and Cubes are soft and can be squished/ folded and compressed when not in use.
